In his follow up to Loin des hommes, and Wall, David Oelhoffen’s latest film was in the main competition at Venice Film Festival. Close Enemies is a Paris-set contemporary crime thriller starring Matthias Schoenaerts and Reda Kateb as two close friends in a suburb riddled by drug trafficking who end up taking opposite paths. Oelhoffen describes his film as "a breathtaking thriller that will see treason, revenge and survival lead two fierce characters to question their loyalty, and their faith to each of their territory."
