“Happy End” at Filmekimi!Share
Directed by Michael Haneke, Happy End premiered at Cannes Film Festival. The film analyses the insensitivity of contemporary society through a European bourgeois family and social media. The cast of the film includes Isabelle Huppert, one of Haneke’s fetish actresses, Jean Louis Trintignant, and actor-director Mathieu Kassovitz. Described by The Guardian as “a satanic soap opera of pure sociopathy,” Happy End tackles problem issues of the modern ages such as dysfunctional family, revenge, guilt, and repressed feelings.
