2015 Sundance World Cinema Grand Jury Prize– Dramatic

16-year old Scottish aristocrat Jay travels to the American West at the close of the nineteenth century to track down the woman he loves. Confronted with the harsh realities of the frontier, he is joined by a rough traveller named Silas. Together, the two navigate a vast, untamed wilderness while attempting to stay one step ahead of a bloodthirsty bounty hunter. The debut feature from former indie rock Beta Band musician John Maclean is a surreal journey, a modern take on the Western hero, and “a European road movie with fairytale inflections,” as described by Maclean.
