Paris, summer 2020. Actors from la Comédie-Française, France’s most prestigious theatre, rehearse Christophe Honoré’s new play, an adaptation of Marcel Proust’s Le Côté de Guermantes / The Guermantes Way.  When we suddenly tell them that the show is cancelled due to the COVID pandemic, they choose to continue playing anyway, for the beauty, the sweetness and the pleasure of staying together. Featuring the actual actors of the troupe La Comédie-Française of Honoré's actual stage production as the cast, the film premiered at the Deauville Film Festival. Guermantes is a brilliant tribute to theatre itself, stage actors who put their hearts out, and Proust, whom Honoré himself says is impossible to adapt.
