Paris, 13th District is based on the graphic novel Killing and Dying by Adrian Tomine, one of the great creators of modern American literature. Palme d'or-winner Jacques Audiard (Un prophète / A Prophet, De rouille et d’os / Rust and Bones, Dheepan, Frères Sisters / Sisters Brothers) is coming back with a modern tale of love and friendship, co-written with Léa Mysius and Céline Sciamma and filmed in sumptuous black and white. Premiering at Cannes 2021 within the main competition, the film is set in the Les Olympiades neighbourhood in Paris, 13th District, and observes three girls and a boy as they redefine what modern love is.
