2021 Cannes Best Actress (Renate Reinsve)

The third instalment of Norwegian auteur Joachim Trier's “Oslo Trilogy,” The Worst Person in the World, tells the existential anxieties of 30-year-old Julie and her search for direction in life. Confused about her love life and career prospects, Julie finds herself in unexpected places in life through coincidences and the people she meets. The film has a much more vibrant and cheerful spirit compared to the first two films of the trilogy, the Golden Tulip-winning Reprise and Oslo, 31 August, and is a love story that Trier has always dreamed of shooting. Renate Reinsve, who won the Best Actress Award at 2021 Cannes Film Festival, transforms all of Julie's confusion into an entertaining journey with her marvellous performance.
